Joining in 1996, Emma initially spent ten months working for National Express at Digbeth Coach Station as a Customer Service Representative, responsible for assisting and directing passengers. She then embarked on the start of a career in sales, joining TNT, the global express distribution, logistics and international mail company, in Digbeth as a Sales Executive, a position which she held for 2˝ years.

On leaving TNT, Emma joined HFC bank, spending six months as a Sales Manager responsible for selling loans and gaining new customers for their credit cards (Goldfish, The GM Card and marbles™). In 1998 she moved to Igloo Frozen Foods, based in Aston, where as a Sales Executive she spends her time visiting customers and gaining new orders for the business.

In 1999 she bought a house in South Birmingham which is close to a large park which she regularly walks or cycles around.
