In 1996 Adelaide joined Staffordshire University studying a BSc Hons course in Human Biology, graduating in summer 1999. At university she was an active member of the women's rugby team, including on tours to France and Dublin. She was appointed Fixtures Secretary for 1998/9 season. Her toughest time came when she fractured her breast bone during a match. In 1999 she joined Loughborough University, studying for a PGCE 2nd Science, involving placements at schools in Derbyshire and Loughborough. In September 2000 Adelaide took up her first teaching post as a Science Teacher at Streetly School, teaching 'A' Level Biology as well as GNVQ and GCSE courses. Adelaide continues to be involved with A2 YFA when time permits and has renewed her first aid qualification. In March 2000 she attended St. James's Palace to receive her Gold D of E Award and plans to help with the running of the Award at Streetly School. She enjoys sports, especially swimming in addition to driving her new car. |
