More of an achievement & honour, members are chosen for their smartness & reliability by instructors to represent the Chief Fire Officer at official brigade ceremonies such as passing our parades and medal presentations.

Duties involve welcoming award recipients, guests and dignitaries to ceremonies as well as supporting the CFO on stage by passing the CFO medals and certificates which he is presenting.

Chosen young members take it in turns to act as CFO cadet, often acting in a highly commendable and professional manner, often at short notice.

A CFO cadet can be recognised by the wearing of a badge on the arm of their uniform.
